Ready Made Canvases

As your art is a expression of you it is important to use the right materials in constructing your ideal ready made canvas. These canvases that we have on offer are ready to paint and should save you hours of time doing what you love most: painting.

If you have a look under out custom stretchers section on the top right hand side of the page you will find that we have a large range of sizes on offer and we can sometimes do custom sizes if required. As it is hard to find the right ready made canvases online we have decided that we will include some pictures of the products in their pre assembled state to give you a better idea of the product you will be getting when you place a order.

Corners

We use miter joints on all our canvas joints are also glued and screwed for added durability, the canvas is hand stretchered and corners are cut and folded neatly, during the order process please advice if the canvas will be used landscape or portrait as this will depend on where the folds are located.

Have a look at these frames as they are a good idea of what will be hidden away under your canvas when we send them to you.

Canvas Fabric

We can offer three types of English duck cotton canvas 10oz, 12oz and 15oz we recommend 12oz the larger sized canvases if you are looking for a extra smooth surface to paint on.

Priming

We only offer Un-primed and Acrylic & Sanded options. With the sanding we will provide a light sanding as we are not always sure how smooth you like your priming. And for those of you that do not understand priming let me say if is essential to have the maretial primed as it provides a so called base layer on the cotton duck to ensure that your paints does not rot the material in future. If you have specific priming requirements please included that in the notes section during checkout and we will see if we can accommodate your specific requirements.

Wood Dimensions

We offer two types of thickness of wood: 38mm, 50mm and would recommend 50mm for larget sized canvases.
